The Procurement Awards 2016:
Gruppo Fabbri Vignola S.p.A. awarded in the “Purchase Innovation” category
“Awards are meant as a tribute to the efforts of those who are able to renovate, tracing a pattern for others to follow in order to achieve positive outcomes. This is why The Procurement Awards 2016 – Beyond saving, the name itself highlighting how Purchasing goal is to offer a strategic support to companies, was created.” (cit. da www.theprocurement.it).
Fabbri Group was officially awarded on May 19th, during Italian Procurement Awards ceremony, by a committee of the sector professionals appointed to select and evaluate the most successful cases in four categories:
– Ethical and sustainable purchases
– Negotiation best practice
– Purchasing innovation
– Interfunctional purchase team
Mr. Andrea Zuccarino, COO at Gruppo Fabbri Vignola S.p.A., welcomes the results achieved by his Purchasing Department: “We’ve been awarded in the “Purchasing Innovation” category, preceded only by two among the most important Italian companies in the food industry: Lavazza and Amadori.
The “Lean Supply Chain” project, by Gruppo Fabbri, was created to account for the need to devise a new purchasing and management system for machine assembling materials, downstream of production unification.
The new process allowed us to achieve three important goals:
– Improve synchronization and speed the flow of materials through the whole supply chain up, thus reducing stock and improving inventory turnover levels
– Improve integration and general suppliers’ performances, thus consistently abating claim end/or misses on pre-assembly and assembly lines
– Design and present a new materials’ purchasing and managing system to streamline the process and eliminate wastes or activities without added-value.”
