Another important milestone has been reached by Fabbri Group: Nature Fresh, the first certified compostable cling film in the world for both manual and automatic food packaging certified for home and industrial compostability (Standard EN 13432), wins a place on the podium of the international and prestigious BIOPOLYMER Innovation Award 2021.
The Award, promoted by the non-profit association POLYKUM, is given to pioneering products or applications of biodegradable polymers, made of materials that at the end of their life can be metabolized by microorganisms into biomass to become part of natural cycles.
Nature Fresh meets these requirements as it can be composted together with your organic waste in your home compost heap or in an industrial composting facility, according to local legislation, allowing thus for organic recycling: according to the EN 13432 Standard, the resulting compost is suitable for plant growth and contributes to closing the nutrients loop towards a Circular Economy.
This Fabbri Group victory confirms once again the great potential of Nature Fresh, after two other major awards in 2020: the Italian “Packaging Oscars” and, through the Fabbri customer Westaway Sausages, the “UK Packaging Awards”.
